January 20th, 2009Bank of Canada met today and decided to decrease prime rate. As a result, RBC has decided to decrease its prime lending rate by 50 basis points to 3.00 per cent from 3.50 per cent, effective January 21, 2009. That means that our rates are as follows: 1) Variable Closed at prime (3.00%) plus 0.80% resulting in 3.80% today. 2) Variable Open at prime (3.00%) plus 1.00% resulting in 4.00% today. ...
